Subject: | 4-way HD interface |
Hi,
I've had some problems booting up ever since installing OS3.5 and then
OS3.9. I have even lost all the partitions above 4gb on several
occasions, using different file systems i.e. SFS 1.84, PFS3 with upgrade
and FFS 45.9, so I don't think it has been the file system. Now the
Elaborate Bytes 4-way interface seems to have given up the ghost, it
can't see the HD and CDROM on the secondary channel. I have uninstalled
the software and reinstalled it to no avail. Anyway I decided to get a
new one so I got the one from Power Computing, wich uses EIDE99
software.. When run and installed it seems to want to split my 20gb HD
into 5 logical HD's which is already partitioned with all my software on.
If I let it do this then I will lose all my installations of software. I
have another 15gb HD which it wants to do the same with but it has split
them up using the luns and it all seems a bit messy. What is the best way
of handling this ? There must be one of you guys that knows the best way
around this.
Thanks in anticipation of a quick response.
Kind regards,
Ray
